Job Description

Join us as an AI Engineer to implement innovative AI and ML methods for our GxP Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build AI Solutions: Develop predictive models, anomaly detection systems, and LLMs to optimize QMS performance.

  • Improve GenAI and LLMs: Apply Generative AI techniques and LLMs to automate and improve tasks like quality events analysis, document reviews, and complaint management.

  • Work with various teams like Quality, IT, and Technical Ops to integrate solutions into QMS.

  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to prepare and analyze large datasets, identifying trends and areas for process improvement.

  • Automating Routine Tasks: Using AI technology to automate routine quality management processes, decreasing manual workload and growing operational efficiency.

  • Ensure Regulatory Alignment: Ensure that AI models, particularly LLMs and GenAI solutions, align with industry regulations, quality standards, and ethical guidelines, particularly in GxP and FDA-regulated environments.

  • Validate and supervise models like GenAI and LLMs to .

  • Keep up with AI/ML Advancements: Stay updated on new AI/ML technologies and their applications for QMS innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience in developing machine learning and AI models, including techniques such as classification, regression, anomaly detection, reinforcement learning, and sophisticated Generative AI (e.g., text generation, summarization, LLMs).

  • Programming Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python or R, with hands-on experience in developing Generative AI applications and deploying Large Language Models (e.g., GPT-3/4, BERT, T5).

  • AI/ML Frameworks and Libraries: Familiarity with leading AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, scikit-learn, and Keras.

  • Experience with GenAI and LLMs: Strong understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models for tasks such as document generation, summarization, classification, and process automation.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Experience working in regulated industries, such as life sciences or medical devices, is a plus. Knowledge of GxP and FDA regulations is helpful.

  • Cloud Platforms: Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for deploying AI solutions at scale.

  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and the capability to explain intricate AI concepts to non-technical collaborators.

  • Partnership and Adaptability: Ability to work optimally in collaborative, multi-functional teams and adapt to evolving business requirements.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with AI ethics and responsible deployment of Generative AI models, especially in regulated environments.

  • Knowledge of NLP (Natural Language Processing) techniques for document classification, summarization, and automation.

  • Familiarity with model interpretability and explainable AI methods.

  • Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for model deployment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $149,500.00–$199,300.00.
